This peculiarities grabbed the attention of many French producers, because phyloxera devastated their blending wines. Primitivo beacome appreciated not only at local level, but also at international level, in particular with French blending wines. Nowadays Primitivo has became a popular wine and elite wine, in fact many celebrities decided to invest in the production of this wine, one of the most famous of them is Gianluigi Buffon. He casted a line of wines of his production named “Buffon”, in the line appear Primitivo of Manduria.
