Barbera is a very quotated wine in literature. The most famous of them is the poem written by Giosuè Carducci, the first italian writer for winning the Nobel for Literature in 1906, even tough he was from Tosana:”Prodigal Barbar! Drinking it seems to be alone in the sea challenging a storm”.
