Monica is present throughout Sardinia, but with particular focus on the central southern area. The central western area of Oristano is popular for the presence of many wineries that operate respecting the native Sardinian vine varieties. Those of Terralba are included. Terralba is one of the cities with an ancient history in Sardinia also for the production and exchange (voluntary or forced depending on the role of exporters or employed) of wines and local products. Terralba has such a long history because in its hinterland it was present in significant quantities the obsidian, an important resource with which the inhabitants of the place, before others, managed to build tools and weapons in a modern way.
