Nascetta is the simbol of rebirth. It had almost disappeared when, in the early ’90s, the great patriarch of Barolo Elvio Cogno, who had kept it in marginally production and almost by affection, decided, with the Contribution of the University of Turin, to bring it back to life. The very difficult project succeeds and in 2002 Nascetta enters the DOC Langhe, acquires its own name and start expanding in a few other areas of Piedmont beyond the Langhe, like Monferrato.
