In Sicily, popular cuisine is combined with that of nobility. Following this guideline, great chefs were born who propose a strongly traditional cuisine but revisited according to modern tastes without losing the typical origin of the Sicilian land. One of these is the great Ciccio Sultano, two Michelin stars, of Ragusa Ibla, which proposes to its restaurant the Duomo a unique cuisine, defined “baroque” by some enthusiastic critics, even for the place where the restaurant is. And Sultano is careful to combine excellent Sicilian autochthonous wines with his extraordinary cuisine. Not only simple cuisine lovers but also nobles pass through this restaurant. The last, in October 2017, HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco. During dinner, with a fantastic menu defined by Sultan “Del Principe”, were mainly served native Sicilian wines including a beautiful Catarratto in purity.

But also, the Moscato of Alessandria / Zibizzo attracts famous French people. The beautiful and good actress Carole Bouquet, in fact, in love with Pantelleria has bought a 14-hectare estate and has started producing a magnificent Passito di Pantelleria based on Zibibbo that over time has acquired exceptional quality and obtained high standing international critics.
