A curiosity is the role of great importance that, in France, Ugni Blanc assumes a type of vine variety very similar to Trebbiano. Ugni Blanc in fact, is used, alone or in partial assembly with other vine varieties such as Folle Blance and Colombard, in distillation to obtain Cognac and Armagnac (also with minor parts of Bacco and Mauzard).
